What will my role involve?
You will be part of a team that evaluates the security of products incorporating embedded and smart card technologies. Key responsibilities include identifying threats and vulnerabilities by analyzing product specifications, code, or hardware and creating tools for security testing. Findings are compiled into reports, along with recommendations for addressing any issues.
The organization values knowledge sharing as essential for innovation and employee development. Time is allocated for personal growth, and weekly knowledge-sharing events are organized. Besides evaluation work, the organization undertakes other projects such as consultancy, research, tool development, and training. Maintaining a cutting-edge lab necessitates an ongoing internal research and development process. Knowledge gained from projects is documented in a database to be shared across the organization.
What skills do I need?
- You hold a degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Javacard, and Assembly.
- Experience with smart cards, secure elements, or other embedded devices (e.g., System-on-Chips) and knowledge of testing methods (Logical, Fault Injection, and Side Channel Analysis).
- Familiarity with major security evaluation schemes like Common Criteria, SESIP, EMVCO, or Global Platform.
- Ability to lead technical projects and experience in software development or (security) testing for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of EMV Payment products is a plus.
- Experience with Java Card Evaluations.
- Support project management in coordinating complex evaluation projects within set timelines and budgets.
- Act as the technical interface for customers, various IT Security Evaluation Facilities (ITSEFs), and certification schemes.
- Possess a creative mindset with attention to detail and a drive for enhancing security.
- Strong interpersonal skills, making you a pleasant team member who enjoys collaborating with a diverse group of security experts.
